
I got started on the river at 6:50. The fog was light at first, as can be seen in this photo of deer.

This was my view as I approached Wellsville, Ohio. Based on the number of fire engines I could see on the road responding, this probably isn't the usual view of this area.

The fog certainly picked up over the next hour. You can barely make out the five barge tow on the other side of the river from me.

After going through the New Cumberland Lock, I stopped at the Riverside Grocery Store I went to on my two previous attempts. While there I took this topside photo of what a lock and dam looks like.

This is the "Welcome to Ohio" sign in Stubenville people see as they exit a bridge coming into Ohio.

I see lots of rope bridges along the river, but this one gets extra points for comfort.

This is the first time I've seen a tow boat actually towing.
