So, I initially decided to stay on Deadmans Island today and continue tomorrow. However, I lost my binoculars two days ago and decided with the kayak empty, I should be able to backtrack to Henderson to look for binoculars and a few other items. It took about an hour and a half to fight the wind and waves the five or so miles past Henderson.

I hid my kayak behind the trees to the left of the floating dock.

At the top of the ramp was a park with ball fields, restrooms and water.

A Lowe's to the left and Walmart to the right were less than a mile from the boat ramp.

On the way back to the kayak, I took a photo of this sign. It explains a unique Policy Henderson has, in that it requires anyone wanting to launch a boat from one of the Henderson ramp's, to buy a permit.

When I got back to the kayak, it was still there and untouched.

With the wind at my back going back to Deadmans Island, I decided to try my sail.
Here is a video of me sailing.
An interesting video.
With the success I had in using the sail, I decided to break camp and move on. At the point in this video, I already wrapped up my sail to the mast since the wind was in my face. But look at the waves I encountered.

I came to Diamond Island, which at 3 1/2 miles long and a mile wide, is the largest on the Ohio. I camped out tonight at the bottom end of the island.
