This is all the stuff that had to be packed into the kayak.

The kayak at home Sunday evening, ready to be taken to the river.

This is what the packed kayak looked like where I left it over night. I started traveling at about 7:15am and had to go five miles before entering the Ohio River.

Passing beneath the I-275 bridge that connects Indiana to Kentucky.

The Argosy/Hollywood Casino boat at Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

I followed a narrow creek back to take a look at The Ghost Ship. This is an abandon ship that I posted a video about on Youtube.

This is what the ship looks like.

Aurora, Indiana is sometimes called "The City of Spires". Spires is another name for steeples. I thought I remembered reading there are seven steeples in Aurora. It may be hard to see, but all seven are in this photo.

Beltera Casino in Rising Sun.

This is the riverfront park at Rising Sun. I've attended several events at this site in the past.

Directly across the River from Rising Sun, is Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. I don't know if it's still the case, but at one time a dog was elected their mayor.

All of these are photos from Rabbit Hash.

I spent the last three hour on the river looking for a place to camp. I ended up a couple miles past this house in the Warsau, Kentucky area. The numbers in the window of this house is the river mile mark: 525.5 . The mile mark where enterred the Ohio River this morning was: 491.9 .
Tonight should be interesting. It's supposed to get down into the forties tonight. I couldn't find an area big enough to set up my tent, so I guess I'll be sleeping sitting up in my little camp chair on a tarp that covers an area about three feet wide by six feet long and about five feet from the river's edge. That's the best space I could find after looking for three hours/

Thanks for telling about your kayak journey. The pictures were really beautiful. We are so glad you are out and about. I'm sure Bonnie is looking over you. She was such a Sweetheart. Be very careful out there.
Be safe out there. Princeton High School needs you back in the fall.
I agree....wear your life jacket!
